Services from EABS

  1. We are very pleased to announce that EABS is now able to offer ‘tailor-made’ technical training courses at a facility just south of Manchester. The training can be for any number between 1 and 6 people. The main focus of these practical courses will be the theory and practice of flame brazing, this to include practical demonstrations, together with ‘hands-on’ experience for delegates in the workshop.

We also have the facilities to offer training courses related to the theory and practice of all of the commonly used heating methods, or the brazing of specific materials such as stainless steel or tungsten carbide This type of course does not include any ‘hands-on’ practical sessions, and can therefore be presented either at the EABS facility, or in your own factory.

Please contact EABS by e-mail at admin@eabs.org.uk if you wish to discuss this new service with us with a view to arranging for EABS to prepare a specific Course for you.

  2. There is a growing demand from companies to have certain of their brazing personnel accredited to an Internationally recognised Standard.

It is not the role of EABS to accredit operators: only a ‘neutral’ person, or body, who is qualified to offer this essential step in the accreditation process can do this!

However, EABS has recently introduced a new service that provides a route to such accreditation by teaching engineers who are responsible for the brazing procedures used in their place of work how to audit their existing processes in line with Internationally recognised brazing Standards.

As the first step in the accreditation process it is EABS role is to ensure that the ‘best practice’ rules of brazing are not only followed, but are also fully understood, by the engineer(s) charged with developing a provisional Brazing Process Specification. This will ensure that the Procedure to be accredited does conform to the requirements of the appropriate Internationally recognised Standard(s).

Please contact EABS by e-mail at admin@eabs.org.uk if you wish to use this new service.
